Letovisko Chobot
Suckling pig on the spit in the brick oven at Letovisko Chobot

Food & drink

Everything at the highest standard. From canapés to suckling pig on the spit

Our own kitchen, our own smokehouse, our own roasting oven. Nothing is brought in from outside, which is why we stand behind the food at your event from the shopping to the serving.

Why here

The food is our pride and joy

It starts with our own bread and slow-simmered stocks. It ends with a plate that shows nobody was in a hurry — honest cooking, and by no means only Czech.

We take particular care over our buffets. First they are a pleasure to look at, then they taste even better. The highlight of the evening is usually the suckling pig on the spit, which we marinate ourselves, and desserts are in the hands of our pastry chef — cakes and pastries are all baked in house.

You put your buffet together yourself in a detailed form we send you after your enquiry: pick a set, swap individual dishes and see straight away what it comes to. Food is served in stages and hot, and if any of your guests avoid gluten or meat, we sort that out when planning, not on the day.

Because we stand behind the food from the shopping to the serving, outside catering and your own alcohol are not possible here. We cannot vouch for the quality or food safety of anything brought in from elsewhere.

Buffets

Seven menus, from simple to festive

A buffet here is not a platter thrown in with the venue hire — it is the main event of the evening. The menus range from a cold table with home-baked bread to a dinner where the meat is carved in front of your guests. Prices are per person, and we expect to fine-tune each menu with you.

Buffet 1

There are more levels in between, and a festive Buffet 7 above them. You then fine-tune any menu in a detailed form — swap an item, add something — and see the price straight away.

Cakes

We bake the cake too

Wedding or birthday, tiered or simple, with fresh flowers or without. We agree on flavour, number of portions and looks — and we are happy to take a photo of what you have in mind as the brief.

We cannot accept a cake brought in from outside if it has cream or whipped cream in it — that is a food-safety rule. Dry biscuits from grandma are absolutely fine, though; they belong at a wedding.

Restaurant

When you stay with us, there is no need to go anywhere

The restaurant in the resort is open every day — for resident guests and for people attending events. Breakfast is served from eight to ten, and the kitchen cooks until eight in the evening.

You will find the daily menu printed in the restaurant and also in the Chobot portal, which every resident guest has access to. So there is no need to phone or drive anywhere — you can spend the whole weekend with the car parked.

Good to know

Three rules, so nothing gets sorted out too late

Food and drink are provided by us. Outside catering and your own alcohol are not possible here. It isn’t about the money — we are responsible for what people eat and drink on our premises.

Cakes brought in must be dry. Biscuits and dry pastries yes, cream and whipped-cream cakes no. We will bake a cake to order.

We confirm numbers a week ahead. Until then, both the menu and the number of guests can change. The ingredients for your date are bought fresh.
